Aubrey Lee Dale

Aubrey Lee Dale, 92 of Lilburn, Georgia passed away Monday March 18, 2019. Lee was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Regina Allen Dale. Lee is survived by his loving wife, Hazel of 58 years; his sons, Scott Dale, Eric Dale (Anh); grandchildren, Erica and Cody Dale; several nieces; nephews; and relatives and friends.Lee was born in Athens Georgia. He lived most of his life in Lilburn, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia, where he studied accounting. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper during World War II. During the 1950 Lee lived in Malibu California, where he was an actor for several years. He was an account manager for Sinclair Oil, and then went to work for Southeastern portraits, where after 23 years of dedicated service he retired.He was a member of Mountain Park United Methodist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Lee loved bowling and was a member of the church bowling team for many years. Lee loved spending time working in the yard. Lee had a green thumb when it came to his flower beds. They were always very colorful and very Lush, and a joy to look at and enjoy.He was always dapperly dressed and had a smile on his face, and never met a stranger. He loved his family and grandchildren, and will be dearly missed by all.The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Aubrey Lee Dale will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM and he will lie in state at 10:30 AM, at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, Stone Mountain, GA. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church.
