View Bill's Video Tribute Here William Elmer Stanton, age 79 of Loganville, GA passed away July 4, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Yvonne Moore Stanton; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Tom Bryson of Lawrenceville; sister, Betty Jean and Robert Hull; brothers, Jerry Stanton, Larry Stanton, Wayne Stanton; sister, Patsy Stanton and the apple of his eye granddaughter Emily. Mr. Stanton was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. He was a US Army Veteran. Bill was a member of Snellville First Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday school class. A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of William E. Stanton will be held Wednesday, July 25 at 11:30am at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Dr. James Lee officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30am until service time, at the funeral home. Those desiring may make donations to Snellville First Baptist Church, in memory of William E. Stanton. You were as close to me as a brother could be. We traveled all over the world with you and Von, and we sat together on the best park benches in the world. We loved people watching.

My condolences to the Stanton family for their loss. Bill and I were both graduates of the Training School, East Tenn State College, in 1950. Bill went to the Army along with Zane Burleson and I went to the Air Force. We all came back to Johnson City and graduated from East Tennessee State College and went on to different careers.
Bill was a great friend in High School and will be missed by all.

Dearest Bill,
I remember Mother telling the story Of when she was at home. Whenever, she was mopping the kitchen and Bill and some of the other male cousins would start to come in the back door, Bill would say, "Uh, Oh, boys, Mil's mopping." He wouldn't let them track over her floor. Bill, you were her favorite Nephew, and I know she is thrilled that you all are re-united in HEAVEN. You are very much loved and will be missed by all of us. We can't wait to see you again.

Love you Bill. We had so much fun growing up. I will always remember that old car you had that was nothing more than a floor with two seats, an engine and a steering wheel. I was so proud when you would pick me up at school and ride me around town in it.
We will miss you.
