William Paul James, Jr., age 89, of Loganville, formerly of Lithia Springs, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from the Naval Reserves. He retired from Hardin International Construction Co. William was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Sara Meeks James; wife of 20 years, Cora Daniel James; and wife of 2 years, Ruth Wood James. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Owen Daniel of Monroe, son, Ronnie James of Hiram, son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Becky James of Dallas, step-son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Nancy Daniel of Monroe. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 12Noon at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Austell, GA at 3PM. The family will receive friends Monday, April 18, 2011 from 2PM until 4PM and 6PM until 8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund of Wood Lake Baptist Church or Immaculate Heart of Mary Youth Group. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com. "Brother", as Paul was always called in my family, was always an incredibly strong and positive figure in my early life. There was nothing he couldn't fix! I will never forger crawling under my granddmother's(Minnie Wheat)house with him and placing railroad jacks to lift sections of that old house to make it all level again... The house that Henry built needed a little help from Brother from time to time. And I still marvel at the job he and his crew did on the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables when I have ocasion to visit there. His work ethic and integrity were unmatched. Though we didn't spend a great deal of time together, his strength of character helped shape the man I am today, and the man I strive to become.

He will be missed...

Paul was a good man with a heart of gold. He was a good friend to our parents..always there if they needed help. As youngsters, Paul helped teach us Alverson and James boys how to water ski during our family weekend camping at Lake Lanier. I remember him as a patriotic Navy vet and how he could keep his cool when those around him had lost theirs both in war and peace. We will miss him.

I Loved this man Dearly, He was a huge part of my life while in high school and I was very fortunate to have him back in my life after over 40 years. He was a true man of God. He will be truly missed, but we know he is in the arms of our Lord. I Love you Pop.
