Bill, Carol and Christine:

Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this time of unimaginable loss. Brenda's mother had come to visit from WV for Christmas and we were away over the weekend of the visitation and memorial service. We are so saddened for the loss of Rand. When the kids were younger, we well remember visiting with Rand and enjoyed his good nature and disposition.

We cannot begin to comprehend the sadness all of you must be experiencing . May God provide you with the level of strength and comfort necessary to get through this time.

Love,

Gerald & Brenda Stinnett - and Sean

My cousin Rand, always the entertainer and what a ham! He was also a very tender-hearted and sensitive soul. Rand was one of the few people I know that shared my enthusiasm for gardening; I could always count on him to offer great suggestions and tips for everything from plant materials to lawn tractors. His extensive knowledge of horticulture and advice was spot on. He had a great chuckle and contagious smile. His love for his family was deeply moving. Each time we had a conversation he told me he loved me and all the family, and thought of us often. I am extremely grateful to have had the pleasure of his visit this past May. Rand will always be in my heart, forever and ever loved.

I had the privilege of being aunt to a special, busy, excited young man. His enthusiasm for family, gardens, and trains always blessed me, and his kindness was evident early in his life. We, the family, are lessened by his passing, but enriched by his life. Praying for our loss to be comforted. Mary Chichester Smith

in honor of William.

Rand was a gentle and loving person. He was a wonderful husband to my niece and blessed for him to be part of our family. Rand would always greet me with a warm hello and hug and would never leave without saying " I love You". We will miss you so much. You will be forever in our heart and may you rest in peace.

I am heartbroken over the news of Rand's passing. Some of my fondest memories from childhood include spending time with Rand and his family. I also remember Rand visiting me when I was in college at Clemson. We walked all over the Botanical Gardens and managed to eat thru all of the money we had at the Waffle House. I will never forget you Rand! God bless you and your wife, parents, sister, and all of us who were lucky enough to have you in our lives.

Tony and I were neighbors and friends of Bill and Carol when Rand was about two years old. We have a son the same age and he and Rand were friends and played together often. Rand was a cute, sweet, funny and loving child and although we haven't been around him during his adult years, we know he still had these wonderful qualities. We'll miss you, Rand. You were a blessing to us.
