A. T. Green, age 96, of Winder, Georgia died on April 5, 2008 at Winder Health Care. He is survived by: His Wife of 65 Years ? Thelma ?Honey? Green, Son and Daughter-in-law: Walter and Jodi Green of Greenville, SC Daughter and Son-in-law: Thelma Lee and Van Smalley of Dallas, TX Sister ? Joyce G. Sims of Lawrenceville, GA 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Green was born in Gwinnett County, GA on November 20, 1911 to W. Guy Green and Julia Opie Brogdon Green. He attended the old Lawrenceville High School, and served in the United States Army during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He worked as a Mechanic with the old White Motor (Trucking) Company for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister, Julia G. Holland and his Brother Nat Green. A Service Celebrating the Life of A. T. Green will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with his Grandson, Joshua David Green and Pastor David Wood officiating. Interment East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
