Samuel (Sam) Preston Kendrick, Jr., age 72 of Snellville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014. He is remembered with love by his wife, Susan, daughter, Jennifer and husband Jeff, stepchildren Lisa and husband, Brian and David and wife, Debbie along with grandchildren, Cameron, Trevor, Emily, Teddy, Emily, Spencer, Aaron, Brandon, Allie, Connor and Kenneth.Sam was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 5, 1942 to Minnie Maude and Samuel Preston Kendrick, Sr. He was a 1960 graduate of Sylvan Hills High School and retired as a Collection Manager from Transus Intermodal in 2006. Sam was a lifelong Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fan.The Service Celebrating the Life of Sam will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens in Loganville. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In his memory, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to either Lewy Body Dementia Association Inc. My condolences to Sam's family. He will be missed. Sam and I went to high school together but only saw each other at high school reunions and at the funerals of friends.
