SHIMELIS ADAL

Shimelis Feleke Adal, age 69, of Seattle, WA and Ethiopia entered into rest at Emory University Hospital on April 3, 2010 after a gallant battle to cancer. He is survived by his eleven children, Adal Shimelis, Dawit Shimelis, Mussie Shimelis, Gugsa Shimelis, Engda Shimelis, Bethelehem Shimelis, Selome Shimelis, Nesanet Shimelis, Derege Shimelis, Zebib Shimelis, and Mahder Shimelis; sister, Ethiopia Neggus; twelve grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.   Shimelis F. Adal was born in Wollo, Ethiopia on November 14, 1940 to Adal M. Feleke and Alemwork Welde. He was a Pharmacist and worked for the Russel Pharmacetvc. Mr. Adal enjoyed walking and attending church.   A Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Adal will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 12:00 o’clock at the Kidist Mariam (St. Mary) Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, 1152 S. Stone Mountain-Lithonia Rd., Lithonia, GA 30058 with EOTC Patriarch Abune Yacob and Other Church Leaders officiating. Mr. Abal will be sent to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia was interment at the Debre Libanos Cemetery on Saturday, April 10, 2010.
