Raymond Martin

MARTIN: Raymond (Cleo) Martin, age 89 of Loganville, GA died peacefully at Embracing Hospice on September 2, 2008.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lear Yancey Martin and is survived by his sisters, Addie Ruth Reese and Louette Johnson; brother, Roy Martin and several nieces and nephews.   A longtime member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for several years, he also was a member of the Men’s Bible class.  He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army for 4 years and was a member of the American Legion Post 233 in Loganville.  He was retired from Sears after 40 years of service.     Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5 at 2:30pm at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The Men’s Sunday School class will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9pm at the funeral home.  Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com.  Tom M.
