HAMILTON: Phillip “Rodney” Hamilton, age 60, of Stone Mountain, Ga. passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Geraldine Hamilton, sons, Michael Kevin Hamilton of Winder, Ga., Gregory Keith Hamilton, of Sumpter, S.C., son & daughter-in-law, Darrell E. & Dawn Wallace of Walnut Grove, Ga., daughter, Wanda R. Mize, of Winder, Ga., eight grandchildren, and mother-in-law, Lorene Rainey of Covington, Ga. Mr. Hamilton was a member of Camp Creek Primitive Baptist Church for 45 years. He was formerly employed with Krispy Crème, and with Flowers Industries Inc., where he was in sales. Mr. Hamilton was an avid baseball fan. He loved his “DAWGS”, and loved to write poems. In 1976 he wrote a poem about Jimmy Carter, for which he received recognition from President Carter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Camp Creek Primitive Baptist Church, with interment to follow at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday June 23, 2008 from 6-9 pm at the funeral home. Tom M.
