Mrs. Marion Stevenson Webber died February 24, 2012. Born June 19, 1928, in Middleburgh, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Arthur U. and Susie Wood Stevenson. She is survived by her children: Debbie Pruett of  Charlottesville, VA, Martin and Marjorie Webber of Belgium, Paul Webber of Rome, GA, Christine and Mike Hoffer of  Snellville, GA, Tim and Yvette Webber of Chino Hills, CA, and Jo and Mike Cooper of Roanoke, VA. She was predeceased by her sister, Helene Stevenson Farrell and is also survived by her sister, Esther Stevenson Youngs of Blacksburg, VA and her brother, John Wayne Stevenson of Gold Vein, VA. Active in her high school years, Marion graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1946 and went on to earn a B.A. from Houghton College in New York in 1950. She and her husband served as missionaries in Indochina (now Viet Nam) until 1953. After returning to this country, the family lived in Dayton, OH and then moved to Columbus, GA. where Marion earned her Master's degree. She taught history and coached debate at Hardaway High School in Columbus for many years Her home was a warm and welcoming place, frequented by family, friends, and visitors from all parts of the world. In 1989, she moved to Forest, VA where she was involved in founding the Forest Alliance Church. The focus of her life was to serve her God and Saviour as well as her family She loved each one of her grandchildren: Scott Pruett, Kyle Pruett, Luke Webber, Levi Webber, P.J Webber, Marc Webber, Aurora Webber, Amber Cristillo, Katrina Cristillo, Stephanie Cooper Odom, John Michael Cooper, and Hillary Cooper, and great grandchildren: Yujin Webber, Yuna Webber, and Brylee Webber. She spent her later years in both Greenwood, SC and the area surrounding Atlanta, GA. Family and friends will assemble for a memorial service Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 2:00PM, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2208 East Main Street, Snellville, GA. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com.
