Margaret Dean Rutledge Hammond, age 84, of Lilburn, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Bobby and Marie Hammond of Lilburn, GA, Donald and Carol Hammond of Monroe, GA, brother, Jack Rutledge of Morrow, GA, sisters, Teen Parton of Suwanee, GA, Genny Mitchell of Gainesville, GA, Dot Pickett of Decatur, GA and Beck Semyour of McDonough, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Addison and Eula Mae (Sharpton) Rutledge, brother, Edwin Rutledge, sisters, Ann Rutledge, Polly Austin and Alice Clark. Margaret retired after 35 years with National Linen and worked for Partridge Uniforms until she was 80. Margaret’s love was taking care of her family and friends. A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Margaret will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Rev. Mike Portwood will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
