Lois Wages Haney, age 92, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Embracing Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Chester M. Haney; daughter, Kathy; sister, Mildred Wages Whitlock, and parents. She is survived by her nephew, R. Edward (Eddie) Whitlock, Jr. and his wife Martha of Tifton, GA; niece, Jane Whitlock Bolden and her husband Benny of Lawrenceville, GA; two great nieces, Janie Bolden of Bluffton, SC and April & Scott Boetig of Atlanta, GA; great nephew, Thomas & April Whitlock of Charlotte, NC; nine great great nieces and nephews, Laura & Will Davis both of Bluffton, SC, twins – Emma & Elizabeth Male of Bluffton, SC, Andrew & Patrick Boetig of Atlanta, GA, Camden, Carson and Cailin Whitlock all of Charlotte, NC; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Lois Wages Haney was born in Lawrenceville, GA on September 7, 1921 to Ida Johnson Wages and Thomas Franklin Wages. She was a graduate of the old Lawrenceville High School and Draughon’s Business College in Atlanta. She was Manager of the Rich’s Beauty Salon at Lenox Square for many years and also worked at Rich’s in Duluth. She was a member of the Lawrenceville Christian Church and enjoyed reading, needlepoint and spending time with her dog, Buddy. She was a wonderful, strong and kind lady. A Graveside Service Honoring the Life of Mrs. Haney will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 2:30 P.M. at Shadowlawn Cemetery with Rev. Hoyt Huff officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 P.M.
