SNELL: Joseph T. ?Jody? Snell, Jr., age 65, of Loganville, GA, died on Friday January 18, 2008, at the home of his beloved Jenny and Brian Smith. He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Claude Bates of Monroe, Doris and Tom Roberts of Snellville, brother and sister-in-law, F. Brooks Snell and Marie of Loganville, his beloved nieces and nephews, Jenny and Brian Smith of Loganville, Blaine and Randi Bates of Monroe, Andrew and Carrie Snell of Belize (British Honduras), Katy and Mark Fielder of Snellville, John Roberts and Heather Gert of Greensboro, NC, Sandi and Phillip Barber of Canton, uncle and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brooks of Albany and Mrs. Blanche Thrift of South Boston, VA, along with several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Jody was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. & Mrs. Joe T. (Bernice Brooks) Snell, Sr., former owners of Snell?s Pharmacy. Jody was a member of the Snellville United Methodist Church and was the ?Official Greeter? at Snell?s Pharmacy. He would always tell his sister, Mary, that he really owned the pharmacy because his last name was Snell. He retired from The Hi-Hope School after 25 years of service. He loved the Atlanta Braves and was given many items of Braves memorabilia from the Atlanta Braves during his lifetime. Jody will be known for his kind and gentle spirit that enabled people to fall in love with him immediately. A Service Celebrating the Life of Jody Snell will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Snellville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. Philip DeMore officiating. Interment will follow at the Snellville Historical Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the funeral home. I will never forget Jody. He was always so much fun. He must have tied my shoes a million times. Most of the time I was sick and needing some medicine from Mr. Joe and Jody would want to tie my shoes and then I would get a ice cream. He was so sweet. He always wanted to play with Sandi and Andy and myself when we were little. He always had a special place in my memory...i will never forget him.

I just wanted to let you know how much my mother loved Jody. He was one of her favorites and she enjoyed working with him at Hi Hope. Miss Gina left us in September 2006, but she would be there for you if she could. Her students meant a great deal to her.
