Beloved father, brother, uncle, father-in-law, pastor, friend, Reverend John J. Rolader age 83 of Loganville, GA passed away Sunday June 26, 2011. Johnny Rolader led a blessed life living his Christian love and setting an example for others to follow. He was born and raised in the Windsor Community of Walton County. He joined the Marine Corps during World War II and returned home after the war and wed his wife Dorothy. Mr. Rolader retired from General Motors in 1981 after 32 years of service. He was called to pastor and served numerous Baptist churches in the Metro Atlanta area for a period of over 35 years. Mr. Rolader was also Past Master of Tucker Lodge #42 and Past Worthy Patron of the Tucker Order of The Eastern Star.   In addition to God and family, Reverend Rolader loved mentoring and working with young people. He was a coach in Tucker football and baseball leagues for many years, as well as serving a term as President of Tucker Baseball. Mr. Rolader was also one of a group of Tucker parents who signed promissory notes over 45 years ago to purchase land for the Tucker Football League which became Fitzgerald Field, still the home today to TFL.   Reverend Rolader was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Dorothy Guthrie Rolader, who passed in 2001. He is survived by his in laws in the Guthrie family, numerous brothers and sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, and his children; sons and daughters in law Steve and Valorie Rolader, Randall and Laura Rolader, Glenn and Carol Rolader, and his daughter and son in law Shirley and Ron Richardson. There are also 12 surviving grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition, Dad loved his dear and special friend Nell Stephens who greatly enriched his life for the past 8 years. His greatest joys were his faith and his family, he told his children all he ever wanted was to leave them with a good name, and he successfully kept that promise. His passing leaves an enormous hole in our hearts.  Visitation will be at Tom Wages Snellville Chapel Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Ozora Baptist Church in Grayson, with burial in the church grave yard.
