Jim C. Bolen, age 81 of Snellville, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby “Knox” Bolen. He is survived by his sons, Michael Bolen and his wife Debbie of Winder, John Kelly Bolen of Snellville; daughter, Tiffany McKinnon and her husband Ronnie of Memphis, TN; brother, Larry Bolen and his wife Paulette of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Christina Bolen, Nathan Bolen, Dakota Bolen and Kolton McKinnon; as well as, many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to Honor the Life of Jim C. Bolen will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. I came across the passing of Mr. Jimmy Bolen and wanted to send my condolences. I know that this is a time hard to deal with and accept. In 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 it tells us that God is ready to provide comfort to all in need, and that we must encourage others who are facing difficult times as these. God also promises a time when we wil be reunited with our loved ones; "There is going to be a Resurrection." (Acts 24:15).

Jim and I worked together for 51 of his 53 years of service with ADS. He was a good friend and we shared many good times together over the years. So glad I was able to visit with him in September, We shared lots of memories and our faith through this walk with our cancers. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time of loss.

Jim was always such a friendly outgoing man who always thought of others first. When we would come to Atlanta he made sure he introduced us to the best restaurants in town. I remember when my youngest daughter was born he gave me a Johnson and Johnson kit that had everything that was needed for a newborn, lotion, powder etc., none of which I had at the time! Praying that Tiffany, MIchael and Pete find peace during this time.

I first met Jim when I started Emory Dental School in 1961. He was the Atlanta Dental rep there then and later for many years was my office rep in Conyers before he started repairing handpieces at the ADS location. He actually had a key to my office because I never knew what odd hour he might come. Jo Ann and I considered him part of our family as ADS considered him part of theirs. We would take nothing for our recent visit with him. We probably stayed too long, but neither of us wanted to say, "Goodbye."

We'll miss you, Jim.

To Jim's family, My deepest Sympathy.... Jim's sense of humour was beautiful, I really got to know him when he started his handpc. repair in his little office. He will be greatly missed by the ADS family. Rest in peace my friend.

He was such a sweet Uncle! He took me to my first Braves game when I was about 9 years old. He wanted me to have the best time and bought me anything I wanted.I have wonderful memories of my Uncle Jim.
