Jerrie Moon

Jerrie Lanford Moon, age 82, of Snellville, Georgia, entered into rest on Saturday, June 25, 2011. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Mark & Marsha (Sikes) Moon of North Barrington, IL; four grandchildren, Jessica (Moon) & Jody Steward of Snellville, GA, Andy Moon of Grayson, GA, Michael Moon and Matthew Moon both of North Barrington, IL; two great grandchildren, Annabeth Steward and Josiah Steward both of Snellville, GA; four sisters-in-law, Florene Davis and Hazel Moon both of Monroe, GA, Sadie Moon of Snellville, GA, and Sue Moon of Lawrenceville, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy F. Moon and son, Mickey Moon.  Mrs. Moon was born in Lilburn, Georgia, on October 10, 1928, to Ellene Jordan Lanford and Lonnie Roscoe Lanford. She graduated from the old Snellville High School and was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Moon was a former Sunday School Teacher, enjoyed music, singing and dancing. Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. This lovely lady will be greatly missed by family and friends.   he Service Celebrating the Life of Jerrie L. Moon will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Jody Steward officiating. Interment Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 o’clock to 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Those desiring may make donations to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., GA Chapter, 1925 Century Blvd., NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345-3315 in memory of Jerrie L.
