James Franklin Hodges, Jr.

James F. Hodges, Jr., age 82, of Grayson, Georgia, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Pat Hodges; four children, Dianne Guthas of Winder, David Hodges (Debbie) of Grayson, Donna Krieger (Phillip) of Lawrenceville, and Dawn Dean (Andrew) of Dacula; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. James Hodges was born on May 7, 1931 in Fulton County, Georgia to Katie Lucille Lawson Hodges and James Franklin Hodges, Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked with Atlanta Dairy for many years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He was a member of the Berkmar United Methodist Church and was dedicated to his wife, Pat, and family. James will be missed by his family members and friends. The Memorial Service Honoring the Life of Mr. Hodges will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at Berkmar United Methodist Church, 678 Pleasant Hill Rd., Lilburn, GA 30047. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted, but those desiring may make donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Hodges or send potted plants or flowers for his memory garden at his home for his wife, Pat.
