Mr. Jim was one of those people who, no matter how busy he was, always took the time to say hello and ask how things were doing. He always made me feel important enough to talk to, and I never once walked away from a conversation with him without a smile on my face.

My life is richer for having known him, and I hope to be the kind of neighbor that he always was to me and my family. Heaven's gained a good man in Mr. Jim, and my heart goes out to Nancy, Steven, and David.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficut time.

I have know Coach Hobson most of my life, starting back in little league through Brookwood High School and then coaching with him with the 8th grade Brookwood program. Coach Hobson was always a great mentor and friend.

I am saddened at the death of "Doc" that is the name by which I knew him. I was in the Rainbow for Girls with Gail and knew Doc then. He was special person and was so friendly to all. He was very atheletic person back in the days at Murphy and I remember him well. I am sad for your loss he was an easy going out going person and a friend to everyone. He was not a "jock" he was a friend to all. I have not seen Doc since those days long ago from Kirkwood but I am thankful for the memory of a special person who was a friend to everyone.

Heartfelt sympathy to Nancy, Steven, and David during this difficult time. Jim was the first person to welcome our family when we moved into the neighborhood 13 years ago. He was a good neighbor, a good friend, and a good man. He will be be greatly missed.
