James Hayden Farr

James Hayden Farr, age 78, of Winder, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He is survived by his wife Deverda Foster Farr, daughter and son in law, Janet and Troy Kniffen all of Winder, GA granddaughters: Suzanne Ash of Monroe, GA, Brittany Harrison and Christy Ash both of Winder, GA, 3 great grandsons: Willie Harrison, Wade Harrison, Mitchell Coleman, 3 great granddaughters: Ivey Harrison, Kaylee Bennett and Lila Coleman, aunt, Eleanor Honea of Fayetteville, TN, several cousins and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son James Alan Farr on May 18, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Willis Farr and Reba Ellis Farr. James was born in Elkwood, Alabama, he married Deverda Foster and they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary July 3, 2013. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He retired after 32 years with Ideal Roller Company in Chamblee, GA. He worked for Minit Save Convenience Stores before starting his own company Farr’s Courier Service in 2005 and was still working until two months ago. James loved watching ballgames and wrestling. A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of James Farr will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Landress will officiate. Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15th from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
