CALOMERIS: James T. Calomeris, age 89 of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Charlotte, NC, died December 5, 2007. He was preceded in death by his son, Russell Calomeris, and is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Frances Calomeris; daughter-in-law, Shelia Calomeris of Snellville; granddaughter, Jenna Calomeris of Atlanta, sisters, Lou Marvel of Chevy Chase, MD, Angie Vilisidis of Washington, DC, Georgia Castora of Walnut Grove, CA; brother, William Calomeris of Wheaten, MD; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Calomeris was a US Air Force Veteran of WWII, 66th squadron 57th Fighter Group and followed Patton in North Africa and Italy. He was a member of Snellville First Baptist Church. He was a retired owner of The Rebel Room Restaurant in Charlotte, NC, which he ran from 1960 until 1987. He loved gardening, Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins Football and his family and church family. Funeral services will be Friday, December 7 at 11am at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Dr. James Lee officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 8 at 11am at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Charlotte, NC.
