Gary K. White age 84, formerly of Alpharetta, Ga. stepped into Glory on October 3, 2013. He was preceded in death by wives: Peggy Rich and Jeanette Kirk. Son: Gary Matthew White; and his brother: Bill White also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter: Cindy Staples (Steve) of Snellville, Ga; stepson: Greg Kirk (Rosalyn) of Americus, Ga.; He is survived by siblings: Diane Caskey, Patricia Jones (Bobby), Elaine Crouch, David White (Shirley) and Mark White. Mr. White is survived by granddaughters Alaina and Shaina Guthrie, Jesse White Stradtner, Kevin White, Nicole and Jeremy Kirk and Kacan Lewis, as well as three great grandchildren, daughter in law; Gale White and many nieces and nephews and friends all over the United States. Gary K. White was born to Charles R. White, Jr. and Myrtis L. White on October 11, 1928 in Atlanta, Ga. Mr. White attended Tech High and served in the Naval Reserves during the Korean War. He worked in the jewelry business with Ewing Brothers Company in Atlanta , Ga. and later for The Newall Company, where he traveled the country. Mr. White possessed an extraordinary singing voice and will be remembered for it's beauty. Mr. White raised his children on his own and provided values and support as a foundation for their lives. He was a wonderful, loving father. He had a strong sense of right and wrong and passed it to his children. His faithful love and advice will be sorely missed. Most recently, Mr. White attended Chalcedon Presbyterian Church, where his son and daughter in law were members. He was baptized at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church as a young man. The service honoring the life of Mr. Gary K. White will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at 1pm at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel with the interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11am-1pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mr. White's name to the Alzheimer's association. .
