Frank Larango, age 82, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012. He is survived by his beloved Wife Jan Larango of Lawrenceville, GA, and Son Major Rick Larango and Louise Larango, Grandchildren: Ashley, Mark, Morgan, Josh, Jake, and Joey, numerous cousins and his beloved dog and companion Dante. Frank was preceded in death by is son Billy Larango and his parents George and Rose Larango. Frank was a US Army Veteran. Frank was a retired Funeral Director and Embalmer. Frank and Jan operated Larango Funeral Home in NY and later retired to Georgia. He worked part time for many years at Louise Radloff Middle School until the time of his diagnosis. A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Frank will be at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at St. Edwards Episcopal Church, 737 Moon Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The Very Rev. Kent A. Branstetter will officiate. A viewing will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Larango Family.
I worked with Mr. Larango almost 27 years ago as a summer volunteer in high school at St. Vincent DePaul on Clairmont Rd. I remember Mr. Larango as being a man who really cared about the people around him and the work he did. I also will remember his sense of humor and kindness. He will be greatly missed by the community and his family.
Janet and Family, You have our deepest sympathy. Although we are many miles apart and didn't get to see you and Frank often enough, we remember his beautiful smile and kindness. May all of your good memories be comfort to you in the days to come.
Jan, I am so sorry that you've lost your beloved Frank. He was SUCH a great man, so kind to us always and so kind to my daughter Ali. She was so sad to hear that he passed away. I want you to take care of yourself and I/we hope to see you soon. Love and hugs to you, Jan! I love you!

Frank will truly be missed by so many. He was a friend to all he met. I will always remember his happy disposition and joking comments.
Since we were from the same hometown, Youngstown, Ohio, we always had a conversation that brought back memories for both of us. We talked about the "Dog House", "Handel's", the steel mills, and "kolochi". Since I learned how to make kolochis, I was grateful that I could give one to Frank and Jan.
I believe he looked forward to getting one every Christmas. God Bless you Frank.
Frank was such a warm, loving and generous man. He was like a father to me, and so many people. The students at our school, where he worked, had so much admiration and respect for him. They thought of him as their Grandpa. He always had a smile on his face and was always there when you needed gentle words of wisdom.
I just know that when he got to heaven, the angels were singing loud! He was such a wonderful friend, husband and a father who endured such tragic loss and great pain. I thank God that he is now at peace and in the arms of his beloved son, Billy, where they are together... forever in God's beautiful kingdom.
Rest in Peace, dear Frank. Love and prayers to the family at this time.
