Eunice Yancey

YANCEY – Eunice Palmer Yancey, age 88, of Loganville, GA died on December 25, 2008.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Thomas J. Yancey on July 2, 2008.  She is survived by two daughters; Peggy Garrett and her husband, Luke, Debbie Eade and her husband, Dave;  grandchildren, Millie Oleson of Stateline, NV, Major Benjamin Garrett, U.S. Army, Ft. Sam Houston, Deedee Pitts of Friendswood, TX, Tom Garrett of Monroe, GA, Gary Eades of Hoschton, GA; 5 great grandchildren; Sisters-in-law, Imogene Hannah, Kathleen Rice; Brother-in-law, Charles Yancey all of Loganville, GA; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Yancey was born in Walton County, GA on Sept. 12, 1920 to Claude E. Palmer and Winnie Winslett Palmer.  She worked as an Inspector for the Walton Clothing Manufacturing  Co. for 15 years.  She was a member of Corinth Christian Church in Loganville for over 75 years, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and loyal friend. The Service Celebrating the Life of Eunice Yancey will be held Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Don Hardison and Rev. Lester Waters officiating.  Interment Corinth Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
