Erik Paul Johnson

Erik Paul Johnson October 21, 1936- December 31, 2014 Erik (Rick) P. Johnson died at Gwinnett Medical Center at the age of 78. Erik was born October 21, 1936 to Eunice and Jess Johnson in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. After graduating in 1958, he served in the Army for three years in intelligence. He married Sylvia Atkinson in 1963. They moved to Georgia in 1972. He retired from O’Henry, Inc. Rick enjoyed volunteering at the Gwinnett Courthouse in the genealogy department.He is survived by his wife Sylvia of 51 years of marriage. His loving family includes son Paul; daughter-in-law, Chandell; and grandchildren, Haley, Lauren, and Daniel, along with many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at a later date at Tom Wages Funeral Home in Snellville, GA.Condolences may be viewed or sent to www.wagesfuneralhome.com.
