Dwight Hewatt

Dwight Hewatt, age 70, of Snellville, Georgia, died on Monday, February 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Faye Britt Hewatt in January, 2013. He is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Ricky & Amy Hewatt of Loganville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Michelle & Danny Daniel of Snellville, GA; five grandchildren, Steven Hewatt, Ashley Hewatt, Karissa Rucker all of Loganville, GA, Britt Daniel and Riley Daniel both of Snellville, GA; one great grandson, Sven Jacob Sands; sister, Juanita Wills of Loganville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Martha Hewatt of Monticello, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Dwight was also preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Azelee Hewatt, and a son, Stevie Hewatt.Dwight was born in Loganville, Georgia on May 2, 1944, and was a 1962 graduate of South Gwinnett High School. Dwight worked in the grocery store business for over 40 years as a Manager and then Owner of Big H Grocery Stores in the Greater Atlanta Area. Dwight loved his family who gave him and Brenda so much happiness over the years. He enjoyed traveling, especially going to the beach to deep-sea fish, to Las Vegas, and just enjoying his life. Dwight will be remembered for being straight-forward, always offering a helping hand, and a man who let you know where you stood with him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but now he is with Brenda, where he wanted to be since her death.A Graveside Service Honoring the Life of Dwight Hewatt will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015, at 2:00 P.M at Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Loganville with Brother Chad Luke and Brother Forrest Hewatt officiating.
