Deborah Kay Atha, age 42 of Dacula, GA, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jannetta McAllister and a brother-in-law, Jerry Eugene Atha. She is survived by her husband, Ted Atha of Dacula; a son, Justin Dillard; a daughter, Brooke Atha of Dacula; parents, Charles and Sandra Allen of Lawrenceville; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Melissa Allen of Buford; sister-in-law, Crystal Atha of Dacula; nieces and nephews, Chuckie Allen, Hunter Allen, Emma Allen, Jimmy Allen, Allen Atha, Joseph Atha, Josh Holcombe, and Jessica Holcombe; several aunts and cousins. A Service to celebrate the life of Deborah Kay Atha will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. Sandra, Ted, Justin and Brooke,

It has been many years since I have seen you. I was the Preschool director at New Hope United Methodist and remember your family very fondly. I just heard of Debbie's passing and am so sad. She was a sweet girl who loved her mother, husband and her beautiful children very much. Justin she was so proud to be your mother. I remember her bringing you to school. She always had your hair fixed so cute. Brooke, I have never seen your mother so happy as she was after you were born. She was so proud of her beautiful baby girl and loved you so much. I will always remember Debbie. Your family was and is special to me. You will be in my prayers. With much love.

Atha Family - I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Deb from the Dacula community as our daughters once cheered together. She was a great person and will be remembered fondly. God bless you all.

To the Allen and Atha families, I'm so sorry for your loss. I grew up with Debbie in Oakdale Woods and lived just up the road from her. Her name crossed my mind many times over the years, and I've wondered how she was doing. I'm grateful for the fact that I was able to spend what little childhood time I could with Debbie. Further, I'm glad she was able to experience life not only as a wife, but as a mother as well. You all are in my thoughts and prayers, and may Debbie rest in peace!
