Catherine Sims

Catherine House Sims, age 77, of Dacula, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Otto Sims of Dacula, Children: Greg and Sherrie Sims of Clayton, GA; Raymon and Gay Stancel of Cumming, GA; Cathy Franklin of Lawrenceville, GA; Gary and Ginger Powell of Lawrenceville, GA, Grandchildren: Jacob and Josie Franklin; Rachel and John Stancel; Patrick, Chandler and Chase Powell, Sister: Sandra and Charles Martin of Danielsville, GA, Brothers: David and Grace House of Buford, GA; Richard and Linda House of Gainesville, GA; Ted and Toos House of Melrose, FL., and several Nieces and Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her Parents, James and Lurline Haney House, one Sister and three Brothers.  Catherine was born in Winder and was a 1953 graduate of Winder High School, a Homemaker and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Dacula.  Catherine was the best Wife, Mother and Nanny in the world. A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Catherine will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Rev. Derek Spain will officiate. A private burial will be in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
