Ruth Morrison, age 88 of St. Mtn., GA passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 after fighting a long and hard battle with Alzheimer's. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born in Americus, GA she is the daughter and last of 5 siblings to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bray. She is survived by her 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2pm. at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association. Tom M. When I would see Ruth there was always a big smile with her hello and a loving hug when we parted.
The Bible tells us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord if we have accepted Jesus as our Savior. Ruth was a believer and now knows the harvest of our belief as she rejoices with the Angels. While it is difficult to give up the tangible physical being of Ruth, her spirit will be with you always. And her true legacy is in the effect she has had not only on her family but also on all of us fortunate to know her.
