Annette Downs

Annette Downs, age 86, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Mrs. Downs is preceded in death by her husband Billy Gene Downs; sister, Rachel White and her brother Jack Williams. She is survived by her loving daughter, Carol Higgins and her husband Mike of Good Hope, and son, Scott Edward Harris of Marietta; grandchildren, Vanessa, Genny, and Michael, JR.; great grandchildren, Grace, Sophie, Claire, Kate, and Edward. Annette was born in Hawkinsville, GA, she was a graduate of Girl’s High School in Atlanta, and attended the University of GA Atlanta division, which is now Georgia State. Mrs. Downs retired from SEARS after 30 years of service. She was an avid bridge player and was a member of the Joy Class at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville. A funeral service honoring the life of Annette Downs will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at The First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville with Rev. Sheri Smith officiating, a reception will follow. Private family interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
