William Franklin McGee

June 7, 1955 - April 13, 2022

William (Bill) Franklin McGee, 66 years old, of Loganville, Georgia, lost his battle with cancer and passed away on April 13, 2022, in his home. He was the husband, of Sue McGee and they shared 40 years of marriage together. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hamp McGee; his mother, Mary Louise McGee; his sister, Linda Sue Jackson; and his sister, Reesa Ann Stanford. He was survived by his wife, Sue McGee; his son, Kenneth McGee and daughter in law, Tammie McGee; his son, Jared McGee and daughter in law, Lauren McGee; his brother, Buddy McGee and sister-in-law, Mary McGee; his sister, Nancy Gregory and brother-in-law, Terry Gregory; his grandchildren, Rebekah, Rosemary, Caleb and Chloe McGee; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 7, 1955. He had an extensive 30 plus years of public service, as a volunteer fireman, EMT, and police officer. He recently retired from Walton County Sheriff’s Office as a criminal investigator. He was a longtime member of New Testament Baptist Church. His hobbies included cross stitching, target shooting, watching movies, and spending time with his grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of William McGee will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the New Testament Baptist Church, Loganville, GA, with interment to follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens, Loganville, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at New Testament Baptist Church.
