William P. Ivey

December 23, 1949 - February 19, 2021

Click to view Livestream William Pierce “WP” “Bill” Ivey, 71, of Lilburn, GA, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Pierce and Emilee Mae Ivey of Lincolnton, GA. Bill is survived by his wife, Deborah; his children, Anne Bissell (Eric) of Winder, GA and Nick Ivey (Traci); granddaughter, Sawyer Rae of Jacksonville, FL.; brothers, Claude Douglas Ivey (Susan) of Tallahassee, FL and David Stribling Ivey (Sharon) of Mansfield, GA.; niece, Jennifer Ivey Camp of Tallahassee, FL; and a host of other relatives. Bill was born in Atlanta, GA and attended Bass High School (class of 1969). He retired as a Major from the DeKalb Sheriff’s Office in 2005 and became very involved, in the life of the Rivercliff community. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. A reception will follow at 3:00 PM at Stone Mountain Pizza Café, 5370 Stone Mountain Hwy #1030, Stone Mountain, GA 30087. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: American Heritage Animal Hospital “Helpless Animal Fund”, 3475 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30078. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. Please understand that we will be limiting the amount of people at our chapel for visitations and services. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please bring and wear a mask. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com. Tom M.
