Whey-Er Miller
March 2, 1946 - March 3, 2021
Whey-Er Miller, age 75 of Snellville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Whey-Er was born in mainland communist China. Her family escaped China, in the belly of a fishing boat (with risk of execution), to Taiwan. She lived in poverty for a majority of her childhood. She was a fierce, independent, young woman who worked to help the family. She met her future (American) husband who was stationed at a secret US Air Force base, in Taiwan, during the Vietnam War. They decided to have a bi-racial marriage long before it became an accepted norm. They decided to take up roots and move to the United States, where she did not speak the language and had no family or friends. She was a caring homemaker and mother to (2) children. She was a devout Christian who converted her mother who was originally Buddhist to a Christian. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:30 AM at North Atlanta Memorial Park, 5188 Winters Chapel Rd, Atlanta, GA 30360. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel.
