She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Morton Sledge, Jr.; mother, Laura Virginia Dennis Sledge; brother, Donald Dennis Sledge; and sister, Phyllis Anne Ferguson. She is survived by her loving husband, Vincent A. Bigley, Jr.; children, Michaelle McCoy, Laura Ann Bigley, and Midge Bigley Anderson; grandchildren, Erica McCoy, Morgan Bigley, Nicholas Akers, and CJ Anderson; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Bigley and Jasper Payne; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives. Virginia Bigley was born on January 2, 1947, in Norfolk, VA. She attended Walter Hines Paige High School. Virginia worked as a bus driver and service clerk for Gwinnett County Public Schools Transportation for 30 years. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. Virginia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Virginia Jo Bigley will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. You can view the service, which will be livestreamed, either by going to the Tom M.
