Vera Ann Brooks

Vera Ann Brooks, age 76 of Snellville, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Randy Brooks; children, son, Randy Brooks, Jr, and his wife Cheryl and daughter, Laura A. Webb and her husband Vic; grandchildren, Michael Bishop, Brent Bishop, Michael Brooks and Destiny Heinzelmann; great grandchildren, Eryn Rolader, Sophia Bishop, Jordan Brooks, Connor Brooks , Ryleigh Brooks and Liam Heinzelmann.Vera grew up in Key West, Florida and attended Key West High School. She loved the ocean, football and baseball, cheering on both the Falcons and the Braves. She was an avid reader and also loved to dance, travel, play cards and board games, and was a great cook. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Snellville. She met Randy in Key West, Florida while he was serving in the Navy. Most importantly she will be remembered for being a selfless woman who was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.The Celebration of Life service to honor Vera Ann Brooks will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Tom M. Wages Snellville. Entombment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA.
