Tommy Ely Peevy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tommy Ely Peevy peacefully departed this life May 25, 2022, after a long struggle with lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Leon Peevy and Hazel Lee Smith Peevy; sister, Patricia Peevy Timms; brother, Robert Leon Peevy; grandparents, Robert Lee and Fanny Hughes Peevy, and Clifton and Ruby Reed Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Christi Lynn Peevy Leach (Brian); grandsons Ryan Leach and Cade Leach; son, Greggory Daniel Peevy (Sabrina); grandsons, Blake Peevy, Cody Peevy, Lane Peevy, and Easton Peevy. He is also survived by his four sisters, Ruby Peevy Pope, Sue Ellen Barker (Pete), Melinda Locke (Chris), and Phoebe Addice; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Peevy graduated from North Gwinnett HS in 1970. He was a member of the football and track teams. He served in the US Army from 1975 until 1978 with most of his time spent in South Korea. He became a certified welder and could do anything with metal. Family members who received any of his metal sculptures consider themselves very lucky. He was an avid GA Bulldogs fan, but enjoyed most sports, especially NASCAR. He loved to fish for trout and his favorite fishing spot was Wild Cat Creek. The service to celebrate the life of Tommy Peevy will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Tom. M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com.
