To view the Livestream service for Susan, please click the blue link Susan Nandlal, a long-time resident of Lawrenceville, GA, died unexpectedly on September 4th, 2021, at the age of 71. Susan was born on March 18, 1950, on the island of Trinidad. The 7th born child of Rupert Roderick Lochan and Thelma Bakkar Lochan. She married at the age of 17 to Russel Ramdath Nandlal and had three daughters. Susan is predeceased by her husband, Russel. She is survived by her daughters, Lauren Browne, Nichole Logan, and Charlene Nandlal-Smith and her sons in laws, Richard Browne, Kevin Logan, and Zachary Smith. She has 4 grandchildren, Kristen Nandlal-Smith, C. Alexander Nandlal-Smith, Nicholas Nandlal-Smith, and Richard Browne Jr. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Mohammed. Susan was a second mother to her nieces Shobha and Krystal Singh after the unexpected passing their mother in the young years. Susan has many nieces and nephews, too numerous to list but all who she stayed close to her and loved her deeply. Susan, affectionately known to her family and friends as Shugan, was born and grew up in LaRomain, San Fernando, Trinidad. After high school, she married Russel and took residence on the island of St. Thomas, USVI in 1967. Russel and Susan developed strong community ties, and both had long and successful careers on the Island. After many years on St. Thomas, they moved to Georgia in 1997. Susan led a faithful and devoted life to God, her family, and friends. She was a loving wife to her late husband and doting and supportive mother to her daughters. Susan is known for her angelic kindness and her ability to make any situation better. Susan formed everlasting bonds with her grandchildren, playing a pivotal role in their lives. She was an exceptional cook and loved showing her love through food and communion. Susan was always in the kitchen, preparing her favorite “trini style foods” for her family. Every person who visited her, left the house with a full stomach and a happy heart. She also had a passion for Bollywood movies and music! She could regularly be found watching and singing along with her favorite movies on her “original” VCR and YouTube. Susan was known for her angelic kindness. She was the most loving woman who shined like a bright star all the time. She was a little sassy and a lot angelic. It is now time to say goodbye to this remarkable woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, and friend. God Almighty have said to her, “Well done my good and faithful servant” and exchanged her old, rugged cross for a crown. She is now reaping her well-deserved treasures in heaven. She will be missed by all whose lives she impacted with a caring touch, those whose hearts she filled with joy and all whose spirits experienced her compassion and friendship. ***Mom, you are our pillar of strength and faith, a shining example of what it means to be a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, friend, and servant of God Almighty. We love you and miss you very much. You will forever be our Shug.
