Susan L. Jensen

December 17, 1962 - January 13, 2021

Susan Lorraine Jensen, 58, of Lilburn, Georgia passed on January 13, 2021 in Lawrenceville, after a nearly two and a half-year battle with end stage cancer. Born on December 17, 1962 in Orange, California, Susan was a loving daughter to Ralph and Dolores Clark and sister to Randall Clark. Upon graduating with honors from Elmhurst College, Susan relocated to Southern California, where she ultimately met the love of her life, Todd Jensen. Susan and Todd married in 1989 and later welcomed a son, Lucas, in 1994, and a daughter, Julia, in 1996. While pregnant with Lucas, Susan received a Master’s degree with honors from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Susan’s servant heart shined throughout her years, dedicating her life to the betterment of others. She was first and foremost a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She also portrayed the love of Christ by graciously giving her time and love to friends and those in need in both her professional and personal life. For nearly 15 years, Susan served local children with special needs as a service coordinator with Babies Can’t Wait. She also assisted with the special needs ministry at Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville - her beloved home church of 20 years. In August of 2018, Susan was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Yet despite this seemingly insurmountable hurdle, she continued to impact others by developing relationships with her caring medical professionals and inspiring friends and family to hold onto hope. Susan deeply cared for those around her, often fervently praying for and reaching out to loved ones during her fiercest fleshly battles. Her resilient, generous spirit will certainly carry on. Susan is survived by Dolores, Todd, Randall and his wife Betty, Lucas, and Julia and her husband Erling Wilkinson, all of whom she loved and touched deeply. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the Jensen family encourages you to donate to a memorial fund set up in Susan’s name with Lekotek - a non-profit organization that makes a difference for children with disabilities by providing them with adapted toys and technology. https://lekotekga.z2systems.com/np/clients/lekotekga/donation.jsp?campaign=36 Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com. Tom M. Wages Funeral Service, a family company, 3705 Highway 78 West, Snellville, GA 30039 (770-979-3200) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
