He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Butler; mother, Peggy Butler; and sister, Sheila Butler. He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Butler; children, Richard Pye Butler, Candice Pye Butler Jackson; grandchildren, Jalen Prince Jackson; adopted mother, Julia Massey; siblings, Selina Bell, Robert Massey, Jennifer Baker, and Timothy Massey; and nieces and nephews, Tyrus Parrish, Nicholas Goss, Randall Goss, Sheri Goss Pearson, Greg Gold, Autum Gold, Destiny Gold, Mariah Makiah, and Nathan Smith, Jr.Stanley was born in Jacksonville, FL. He attended S.P. Livingston and Georgia State University. Stan worked as a finance manager for Kia Mall of Georgia. He was a member of Free Chapel Church in Gainesville. Stan enjoyed listening to jazz, entertaining at his home, barbeque cookouts, going to the mountains and beautiful beaches, watching NFL games and NBA games.A funeral service honoring and celebrating the life of Stanley Boyd Butler will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Mack De’Von Knight will be officiating the services.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the City of Refuge Homeless Shelter, 1300 Joseph E. What a beautiful tribute 😍 to Stan he was an amazing man excellent father husband and provider from the moment I met him. He and the beautiful Robin welcomed me to there family and home I love y'all so much I'm so hurt about this but I know he is in a better place I will always remember you and keep you in our hearts your memory will live on I love you Robin and I will keep you in our prayers

Shawn, Paula and I send our prayers for you and the family on Stan's passing. He was always so kind and welcoming and interested in so many things. I personally appreciate what a great example he was to my grandchildren and how much the Golds think of him. He is blessed to be making his final journey home to the Father and may you find comfort in that. Prayers are with you as you all transition to this major change in so many of the lives he touched. My memory of Stanley is a person with a smile that would light up a room. Whenever Stanley enterd a room, you knew there was going to be fun, and laughter!!! My sincere condolences to the family in your time of bereavement. May God continue to comfort you.
