Harris, Sara G. of Lawrenceville GA, passed away on January 31, 2020. She was 100 years old on January 26, 2020. She was a long time resident of the Atlanta area. She retired from the City of Atlanta Personnel Department after 25 years of Service. Sara also spent time as the secretary for Mayor Hartsfield of Atlanta. She was an active member of “The Daughters of the Nile” in Atlanta and Eastern Star. She is a member of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church.Survivors are two sons, Richard F. Harris of Brooksville, Florida and Robert L. Harris of Lawrenceville, GA; along with three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Tom M. Richard, Bobby and Family, John and I are so sorry to hear of Mrs. Harris’s passing. She was such a fun person to be around the few times I was in her company. She would engage you in conversation like she had always known you. I could never thank her enough for the good and uplifting times she shared with my sister, Ruth on their combined visits to Richard and Sandy’s home. I am so happy she made that 100th Birthday and was able to celebrate it with her family. Much love and prayers to you all.
