Ruth R. Pitts

Ruth R. Pitts, age 83 of Stone Mountain, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Pitts in 2014. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Stan & Denise Pitts of Snellville, GA; granddaughters, Morgan & Lindsey Pitts of Snellville, GA; siblings, Sara & Leon Jones of Fayetteville, GA, Caroline Swanson of Hilton Head Island, SC, and David & Karen Rochester of Walhalla, SC; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Jimmy & Joyce Pitts of Honea Path, SC; dear friends & caregivers, Beverly Williams, India Hudson & her daughter Yacine, and Tamara Poole; and several nieces & nephews.Ruth was born in Westminster, SC, and lived in Mountain Park for over 45 years. She retired as a Tax Examiner from the IRS after 25 years. Ruth was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was known for her unconditional love for her family and friends. Ruth was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandma.The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Ruth R. Pitts will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
