Dr. Rossitza (Rossi) Davis, 45, originally of Ruse, Bulgaria, passed away on August 23, 2021 in Snellville, GA USA. Rossi was born in Ruse, Bulgaria and moved the United States when she was a teenager. As a new resident of the Bronx, NY, she learned to speak English and acclimated to her new world. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Southern Vermont College, where she met her husband and best friend, Jason Davis. She also earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Georgia School of Professional Psychology and a Doctorate in Psychology from Southern California University for Professional Studies. Dr. Rossi Davis was a Licensed Counselor and Certified Hypnotherapist. Her education in advanced psychology and passion for helping others, made Dr. Davis a steadfast advocate for those who saw her for mental health counseling. She cared for her patients with kindness and respect. Rossi was also known to all as an avid protector of all living creatures. Some of her greatest joys came from helping to rescue and care for animals. Everyone who knew Rossi could recount at least one story of her saving an animal, nursing it back to health and creating a home for it. Rossi’s heart was full of love for her cats, her dogs, and her Guinea pigs. The thread throughout Rossi’s life was always helping others. The light in her eyes shined brightest when she was helping an animal, a child or just leveling the playing field of life for those who couldn’t do it for themselves. Rossi fought the demons of depression every single day. She waged a battle that allowed her to live 45 years, create a loving home for her family with Jed and their pets and counsel many people in need during her life. Ultimately, she lost the battle and died long before her time. Because Rossi was honest about her mental health struggles and would want us to be honest too, we are sharing this information: We implore everyone reading this message, if you have thoughts of suicide, get help. Don’t let one more day pass without finding someone to help you win this battle.
