Robert Oscoe Elkins

Robert Oscoe Elkins, “Bones”, age 82, of Lilburn, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2020 to be with his Lord. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 57 years, Grace Elkins. Robert is survived by his son, Johnny Elkins; daughter, Kathy Elkins; grandchildren, Christopher Griffin and Hannah Griffin Fleming and her husband, Joshua; great-granddaughters, Grace and Audrey Fleming; sister, Sara Elkins Cook; and several nieces and nephews on both sides.Robert Elkins graduated from Bethesda High School, in 1957. He was drafted and served the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from General Motors and was known by many as “Bones.” Mr. Elkins was an avid fisherman and loved to watch/feed wildlife. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and all things Chevrolet. Robert was known to be lighthearted and loved to share stories of his many pranks, over the years.The funeral service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve.
