Richard B. Sanders, Jr., age 68 born in Thomasville, GA on December 5th 1951, passed away on Thursday, April 30th 2020. He was a beloved husband of Sabrina Harlem Sanders; and the loving father of Omar Anderson, Antuan Sanders, Sr. (deceased), and Ciara Harlem. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Sanders and Richard B Sanders, Sr. Along with his wife and children, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Joann Harlem (Leroy Harlem, Jr. deceased); siblings, Daniel Sanders and Michael Sanders; daughter-in-law, Shumeki Sanders; grandchildren, Antuan Sanders, Jr., Da’jshon Sanders, and Maddox Anderson: brother-in-law, Laron Harlem, Sr.; sister-in-law, Judy Williams; sister-in-law, Qiana Harlem Smith; nieces and nephews: Ashley Sanders, Alysia Sanders, Julian Sanders, Alex Smith, Fredricia Cain, Fredric Cain, III, Anjanae McClain, Laron Harlem, Jr., Carlos Harlem, Chanelle Harlem, Jimmeellia Smith, Jimmeell Smith, and Myrita Williams; and a host of cousins and family members. Richard was a native of Stone Mountain, GA. He was born in Thomasville, GA. He was a Vietnam veteran (Army), worked at Fulton County Jail for 22 years, retired, then worked for DeKalb County School System for 11 years.His hobbies included reading, playing music, and dancing. He loved talking about politics and events. Richard was a people person. Nobody was a stranger to Richard and everybody was family to him. He loved football and was a huge Falcons fan.
