Priscilla "Skeeter" Yorg

Priscilla (Skeeter) Elizabeth Stallings Smith Yorg, 76, of Snellville, GA passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024. Skeeter was born January 16th. 1948 in Carrollton, GA to Homer and Nell Stallings. She graduated from Lilburn High School and attended West Georgia College. Skeeter is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Yorg, her brother-in-law, Charles Robert Stone, her son and daughter-in-law, Ashley Randall Smith and Laurie Riddell Smith, her grandson Carlton Ryan Smith, her daughter, Betsy Smith Lodge, her grandson Ethan Smith, and her granddaughter Kayla Lodge. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Skeeter is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Nell Stallings, her first husband, Carlton Randall (Randy) Smith, her granddaughter, Jordan Mae Smith, and her sister, Patricia Nell Stallings Stone.Skeeter was a well-known staple in Snellville, Georgia. Before his passing in 2000, Skeeter and her husband Randy were active members of the community. They were longtime members of Snellville Christian Church and part owners of East Mountain Insurors. After Randy’s death, Skeeter founded Insurors Associates Southeast where she worked for several years. During that time, she met and married her current husband Jim and eventually retired to enjoy spending time traveling and playing golf with him.Skeeter will always be remembered for her contagious smile, her infectious laugh, her generous heart, and her unconditional love for the Lord. Although our hearts are heavy, we can be certain that Heaven was rejoicing as she entered those pearly gates!The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lilburn, GA. Burial will follow at Snellville Historical Cemetery, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA and again Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until 11 :00 AM at the funeral home.
