She was born on June 11, 1953 to Hubert W Elrod and Betty Sue Poole Elrod, in Habersham Co., GA. Nancy was preceded in death by both her parents; and her son, Damon S. Jones. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nicki and Kenny Cowan; granddaughters, Hunter and Makenzie Cowan; and great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Phillip McGowen. She also leaves behind aunts, Barbara Robinson and Mozelle Wilbanks; uncle, Rayford Poole; nieces, Tracy Hewatt and Brandi Thomas; nephew, Clay Jones; and many cousins.Nancy was a VP of Branch Administration's at Lendmark Financial for 20 plus years and had recently retired from the GFL, that she was part of for over 30 years. She was a member of Zoar UMC. Nancy loved traveling and going on adventures with her family and friends. She loved with her whole heart and will be dearly missed.A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery, Stone Mountain, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, you can donate to Cure Childhood Cancer, in her memory or to Tom M.
