Click to view Livestream Mutrice F. Vanderpool was born in Trinidad, West Indies on January, 15 1947 to her late parents Clarissa and Fitchus Alvarez, the middle of three girls. She grew up alongside her sisters, Yvonne and Joan. In her childhood, Mutrice brought joy and happiness to everyone around her, which was the beginning of her friendly personality. While growing up in Trinidad is where Mutrice developed many of her natural talents, to which she became known for in her latter years. Mutrice eventually moved from the island of Trinidad and Tobago and migrated to the United States, where she ended up residing for over 35 years with her son Richard. While living in the United States, Mutrice worked as a seamstress/tailor, event organizer, and nutritionist. With the birth of her first grandchild, Mutrice decided to retire from being an employee and channeled her passion into creating and becoming the director/provider of Comfort Zone Daycare, in New York. After several years, Mutrice relocated the business to the state of Georgia. In total, she spent over 21 years caring for kids as if they were her own children. Mutrice was always happy and smiling - a day never went by without hugs, a song, or dancing. Mutrice dedicated her life to taking care of children until her health took its toll and forced her to close the daycare in November of 2020. It was on January 17th, 2021, the Lord called her Home to be with family who went before her, including her nieces and nephew. She has crossed over into Paradise, where she would be pain and worry free still smiling and laughing. Among all the friends, families and their children she cared for and loved and who loved her back, Mutrice will be sorrowfully missed by everyone she came across. Mutrice is survived by her son, Richard; sisters, Joan and Yvonne; grandchildren, Dante and Winter; 7 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews; 1 great-great nephew; and all the daycare children she had the opportunity to care for, throughout her life. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel.
