Martha Patricia Hodges, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away Monday, April 27th at Life Care of Lawrenceville Nursing Home. Mrs. Hodges was born in Hardee County, Florida to John and Susie (Houck) Poucher. Mrs. Hodges is survived by her children, Dianne Guthas, Jim Hodges (Debbie), Donna Krieger (Phillip), and Dawn Dean (Andy); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hodges was the last surviving sibling, in a family of 11 children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Frank Hodges in 2013.Mrs. Hodges was a long time member of Berkmar United Methodist Church in Lilburn, Georgia. Aunt Pat has been the true “Matriarch” of our family for decades, working so hard to keep us all connected, planning reunions, staying in touch in so many ways! Her sparkling eyes and bright, loving smile will stay with me in loving memory. She truly lived a life of service to her family, extended to all our families. Her spirit remains such a blessing. Thank You, Aunt Pat.

I remember after my mom passed away we were talking about my grandmother making tea cakes. She knew I was upset about my mom and she made us home made tea cakes. She was a sweet lady
Aunt Pat was one of the kindest women I have ever met. My favorite memory of her was how beautiful she looked when she and Uncle James renewer their wedding vows on their 60th anniversary. The love their shared was inspiring. I know they are reunited in Heaven.
My memories are always of her happy to have family around. Always smiling, never saw her get mad EVER. Always a beautiful soul. And definitely her baking....love y’all.
Pat was a very special person. We shared two wonderful grand children. Grace and Emma Dean. We shared lots of happy times. Birthdays, holidays and a daughter. She will be missed💕
