Still think about you daily...In such a short time spent with you, you've helped heal so much of my trauma. You were always a stronghold of peace. You're no longer physically here but I can still feel your warm calm presence in those moments where I need it the most. Miss you dearly Mummy.

Choune, mommy, while here on this earth you were a light to us all. Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, for opening your home to so many and for always offering a home/safe place. Your light always shined and your warmth and beauty brightened every room. You inspired me and were my first memory of when we first moved to Kansas City. You and your family will always be in my heart and on my mind. May your sweet soul rest in perfect peace and may the comfort of the Lord be with your loved ones.

Marie a.k.a Choune and mommy, took me under her wings when I was 19 yrs old, pregnant, and homeless while going to school full time. She took me in when she didn’t even know me, and she showered me with love, affection, compassion, understanding, and support. She would sit me on her lap to hug me and to tell me how proud she was off me. I was going through one of the hardest time of my life. She treated like I was her own and that I mattered. She gave me the strength to keep push forward, and reminded me of the Lord’s promise for my life. I will remember her sweet spirit, her gentle heart, and how beautiful she was- inside and out. May your beautiful soul rest in paradise my beautiful mommy. Until we meet again!

Prayers for you all during this time- Marie was a shining light to anyone who knew her! She trained me in Gainesville and showered my newborn son with love before he was born. She was a wonderful person, who will be greatly missed.
