Margaret A. Saseen

Margaret Ann Saseen, age 71, of Lilburn, GA, passed away peacefully at home March 17, 2018 after a hard-fought battle with ALS. Margaret is survived by her husband of 50 years, Raymond W. Saseen of Lilburn, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Saseen Mirolli and her husband Mike of Monroe, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Saseen Cawthon and her husband Mike of Cartersville, GA; Six grandchildren, Zachary Paul Williams of Oxford, GA; Michael Thomas Mirolli of Athens, GA; Anthony Raymond Mirolli of Atlanta, GA; Andrew Todd Moore of Cartersville, GA, Courtney Faith Cawthon of Cartersville, GA and Addison Margaret Cawthon of Cartersville, GA; three brothers, Earl Hagy of Grants Pass, OR; Jeff Hagy of Prospect, OR; Michael Hagy of Eugene, OR who preceded her in death; and two sisters, Judy Brown of Fenton, MI and Debbie Hagy Mann of Crescent City, CA.Margaret was born January 11, 1947 in a small mountain home near Grundy, VA, daughter of the late Margaret Wilson Perkins and the late Harless Hagy. In 1964, the family moved to Brookings Oregon where she graduated from Brookings Harbor High School in 1966. Margaret met Ray who was serving in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1966 and married on June 30, 1967. Margaret was a wonderful mother of two daughters and loving grandmother to six grandchildren, and loved to spend time with her family and cook wonderful meals.Margaret was diagnosed with acute leukemia in 1977 and was given less than 6 months to live, but by the prayers of many and the grace of God she survived to see her family grow and see her wonderful grandchildren. In a word, she was the foundation of the family which allowed all around her to follow their dreams.Margaret was a devout Christian and loved the Lord and her family more than anything, and we will now celebrate her wonderful life and the wonderful impact she had in her 71 years young. We all know she's in a better place now and her family will all one day be by her side once again.A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Tom M. Wages Funeral Home at 3705 Highway 78, West, Snellville, GA 30039.
