Lois Ann Barker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lois Ann Barker age 85 of Monroe, GA., passed away Friday, June 24, 2022. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Chester Arthur Honeycutt; her mother, Wilena Goodson Honeycutt; and her husband, Coleman Lee Barker, Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Milstead (Darrell), Chris Weber (Bob); her son, Mike Jones(Lisa); and grandchildren, Levi Stanley, Kevin Milstead , Cody and Logan Chesnut, and Mallory and Melinda Jones; as well as several great-grandchildren. Ann was happiest when surrounded by her family, friends and furry companions, especially during the holidays. She was affectionately called ‘Granny’ by the grandchildren, a term she embraced. Ann was an avid reader of books, magazines, newspaper, and loved discussing current events and politics with anyone who could keep up with her! She was a huge and very loyal Atlanta Braves fan! Having been born and raised in Asheville, NC, Ann had a deep love and affection for the mountains and spoke of her childhood with loving memories. With her wishes, her family will return her to the place that she loved so dearly. The gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
